Amazon Alexa
It’s easy to use the Amazon Alexa Voice Assistant to control your Audioflow Switch with just a few simple steps.
NOTE: The Amazon Alexa Audioflow Skill is only available for English language Amazon Locales (EU / UK / IE / US / CA) at the moment.
Step One
Name your zones
Amazon Alexa will pick up the zone names which you have set in the Audioflow App, so please make sure you have these correct.
Go to Device Settings to rename your zones.
Step Two
Link Audioflow to Alexa
Go ahead and press the Enable Alexa button on the settings page of the Audioflow App and login to the Amazon Account you use for Alexa.
NOTE: if you have the Amazon Shopping App installed on your device, then Audioflow will automatically use this login to associate the Alexa Service to. If you wish to use a different Amazon Account for Alexa, we would recommend that the Amazon Shopping app is temporarily removed from your device.
Step Three
Install the Audioflow Skill
Search for Audioflow in the Alexa Skill Store or click on the link below to add the skill to your Alexa account.
Step Four
"Alexa... Discover Devices"
Use the phrase “Alexa, discover devices” for Alexa to pick up the new Audioflow zones and their names. You should be able to control your Audioflow by saying "Alexa, turn on / off [zone name]".
In the Alexa App you can rename and override this name. For example, you can rename "Kitchen" to "Kitchen Speakers" so you can use the natural phrase "Alexa, turn on Kitchen Speakers".
Troubleshooting
After following the steps above if the Alexa function is not working for you, you can try to reboot the Audioflow (disconnect power and plug back in again) which will force it to re-login to the cloud service.
