What is a Speaker Switch?
You would connect from an audio amplifier into a speaker switch and then from the switch to multiple pairs of speakers in your home.
This simple device allows you to simply turn the speakers on and off in different areas.
Although these were popular in the 90s, the way we listen to music has changed. In a world where we now control our music from our phones, using a physical switch is inconvenient.
What is Audioflow?
Sometimes all you need is simple control, allowing you to listen to your music system in the room that you are in, or enjoy music in an occasional space without the expense of multiple amplifiers.
Audioflow makes speaker switches convenient by connecting to your home Wi-Fi. You can then use the App for iOS or Android, voice services such as Amazon Alexa and other control systems to be able to switch your speakers from the same device you are using to play music. Turn your bathroom speakers on when you are in the bath or turn on the garden speakers when you are in the garden.
Important Notes
- You must not use the Audioflow Speaker Switch for 80V / 100V high voltage audio systems as used in commercial installations.
- You must not use the Audioflow Speaker Switch for unintended purposes such as connecting one pair of speakers to multiple amplifiers, lighting control or any other electrical purpose.
- You must not chain the output from one Audioflow Switch to the input of another Audioflow Switch.
- You must use either two 8Ω speakers or one single stereo speaker per zone output of the 3 Way or 4 Way Audioflow. You may be able to use two pairs or lower impedance speakers on each zone output of the 2 Way Audioflow.
- You should always pay attention to the minimum impedance rating of your amplifier and be sure that you are above that in your system.
